Director Office of Financial Resource Development

Job Purpose
To oversee the design and execution of financial resource development strategies, diversify funding sources, and build strategic partnerships with government, private, and community entities. The role ensures the sustainability of the University’s financial resources and strengthens its academic and research position.
Key Accountabilities
  1. Develop and implement the Office’s strategic plan aligned with the University’s vision, mission, and Board of Trustees directives.
  2. Design and execute programs to attract funding, sponsorships, and external financial support.
  3. Manage donor, sponsor, and investor relations while building a strong network of strategic partners.
  4. Propose and oversee investment projects that generate sustainable revenues for the University.
  5. Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Academic Affairs, Public Relations) to ensure synergy of efforts.
  6. Prepare regular performance and financial opportunity reports for the Board of Trustees.
  7. Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
  8. Lead and develop the Office team to achieve excellence.

  1. Contribute to the development and execution of operational plans in support of the University’s strategic objectives.

  1. Recommend and implement initiatives to improve financial resource development practices and adopt global best practices.

Systems, Processes and Reports

  1. Prepare accurate and timely reports for the Board of Trustees.
  2. Operate financial systems and tools effectively to ensure transparency and data quality.

Required Qualification & Experience
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (PhD preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial resource development, investment, or project management.
  • Proven track record in strategic relationship management and investment projects.
  • UAE Nationals will be given priority.
Required Skills
    • Strong strategic financial planning and negotiation skills.
    • Analytical and critical thinking with expertise in feasibility studies.
    • Fluency in both Arabic and English (oral and written).
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and financial systems.
    • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
    • High integrity, transparency, and commitment to good governance.
