Position Overview
The Head of Institutional Research plays a pivotal role in advancing the University of Al Dhaid’s Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation (IEA) agenda. The role is primarily responsible for designing, managing, and analyzing institutional data systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and effective reporting to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR), accreditation agencies, and other regulatory authorities. The postholder will lead institutional research initiatives, ensure the reliability of evidence used in strategic decision-making, and oversee compliance reporting frameworks that demonstrate UODH’s commitment to quality, accountability, adherence to laws in data reporting, and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
    • Data Management & Integrity
      • Lead the collection, validation, and integration of institutional data across all divisions.
      • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reports submitted to MoHESR, accreditation bodies, and regulatory agencies.
      • Develop and enforce data quality assurance processes to minimize errors in compliance reporting.
    • Institutional Research & Analysis
      • Design and implement institutional research studies to support accreditation, policy planning, and decision-making.
      • Produce and analyze reports, dashboards, and performance indicators aligned with accreditation KPIs.
      • Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis against peer institutions and national standards.
      • Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic improvement and innovation.
    • Compliance & Accreditation Support
      • Ensure research and reporting are aligned with UAE higher education regulations and accreditation requirements.
      • Support in preparing institutional self-studies, KPI submissions, and evidence-based accreditation portfolios.
      • Track and monitor institutional and divisional performance against compliance standards.
    • Leadership & Collaboration
      • Supervise staff and coordinate the operations of the Institutional Research Section.
      • Work collaboratively with academic and administrative units to ensure accurate data inputs.
    • Strategic Contributions
      • Strengthen the Institutional Effectiveness Outcome-Based Framework (IEOF) by embedding research-driven accountability.
      • Provide evidence-based reports to the IEA Director.
      • Advance institutional research practices by adopting international best practices in higher education data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Institutional Research, Data Analytics, Higher Education Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in institutional research, accreditation, or effectiveness roles within a university environment.
  • Priority: UAE Nationals will be given preference in line with national policies.
Key Competencies
    • Expertise in institutional research methods, survey design, and data analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of UAE higher education regulations and MoHESR reporting requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy in compliance reporting.
    • Advanced skills in statistical software, data visualization, and reporting systems.
    • High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
    • Leadership and supervisory skills, with proven ability to coordinate cross-divisional projects.
    • Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
