Faculty Position - Agriculture college

Job Description:
New program in Agriculture to serve aspirations and needs of UAE and the region by contributing to the development of well-rounded professionals in the domain.The College of Agriculture at the University of Al Dhaid invites qualified candidates from the academic ranks Assistant/ Associate/ Professor to apply for a faculty position.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality education and practical knowledge at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• Provide subject-matter expertise, facilitate learning through innovative teaching methods, and assess student performance to ensure the attainment of learning outcomes.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and promotes academic excellence in the field of Agriculture.
• Empower students with the essential skills and knowledge to promote sustainable agriculture, healthy food within the community.
• Provide academic counselling and support to students.
• Supervise student research and projects.
• Undertake and publish research in quality peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop collaborations with national and international academics, research groups, and stakeholders.
• Engage in appropriate activities to attract external research grant funding.
• Undertake other assigned administrative tasks by the program/department, college, and university.
• Complete any other job-related tasks as assigned by line manager within the expected time limit.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or an equivalent qualification in Plants, Agriculture, healthy food, or related field from a reputable and internationally recognized University.
• Minimum five years’ teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Strong record of accomplishment of research publications in refereed scholarly international journals with good impact factors.
• Experience in supervising Senior Design Projects, Master and PhD Theses/Dissertations.
• Interest and experience in bridging links with industry and the community are also expected.
