Position Purpose:
The College of Arts, Humanities and IT is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in English Language, starting in the Fall semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The appointed lecturer will be responsible for teaching English language courses at various proficiency levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced), covering the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in addition to English for academic and professional purposes.
The candidate is also expected to contribute to curriculum development, design engaging and interactive learning activities, and participate in academic, research, and service activities within the college. .

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach English language courses across multiple proficiency levels within the college programs.
  • Develop and update instructional materials and course content using modern pedagogical approaches.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Design engaging linguistic activities to support student learning.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
  • Participate in academic committees and institutional initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or master’s degree in English Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of university-level teaching experience.
  • Proven experience in teaching English for Academic and Professional Purposes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with blended learning and educational technology tools.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English is preferred.

  • Academic Qualification: Ph.D. or master’s degree in English Language Teaching or Applied Linguistics
  • Experience: Three years in higher education teaching
